“Straw Hat”
I found delight in painting this young woman. The challenges of her straw hat and the shadows it casted onto her face turned out to be a great learning experience. Her hair seemed to flow as I painted. Sometimes it feels like a painting will just paint itself!

Terrific, Terry! The hat is a standout and you really caught the reflections, as you mentioned, on her face.
Thank you, Joani! I was hoping I could pull it off. Glad it works.
So beautiful Terry! Fun but challenging. It turned out perfectly!
Thanks, Sherry. Always good to try a challenge, and even better when it works.
Love this too Terry. The light on her face is captivating! Still hoping you might do a WIP on WC! I think your work is really beautiful. Do you put many glazes on?
Thank you so much, Carole. I was pleased with how her shadows turned out, but must admit I had my fingers crossed all along! I do many glazes, all wet into dry.
