“Cool Kat”
Two years ago, I painted “Walking Tall,” a portrait which included this man as my model. I approached him at a different angle in this painting, but his visage still holds the same fascination for me. It is interesting to me to see how much the application and intensity of my hues has evolved since his eariler portrait. Now, like then, the shadows draw me in.

Absolutely, that shadow is killer – great work
Thanks, Joani. It was a challenge working on it. Glad it reads well.
Oooo…this piece is exceptional to me Terry! The light draws me in. Love his cheek and the bit of light behind his hat band!
Thank you, Sherry. As someone like you who is such a good artist capturing light, your comment means a lot to me.
Great news on this piece going into the show in Fallbrook. Maybe I can see it in person!
Thanks, Sherry. I’m quite excited. Don’t know yet if I can make it out there, but it would be so cool to finally meet you!
