“Gravitas”
As I watched this man at his flea market stand, I could not help but be touched by his expressive pose. Was he sleeping? Disturbed or distraught? Wrapped in his thoughts? I tried to integrate the background into the moment I was trying to capture, and I let the many hues and overall looseness of the paints help guide the viewer to make his or her own conclusions.

Another stunning painting Terry, how fabulous your collection would look hung altogether
Thanks, Lorraine. I would love to get a gallery exhibit. Okay to dream, right?
Such emotion was captured here – beautiful job, Terry – looks like another one heading for a show!
Thank you, Joani. I’m glad the emotion came through.
Wow, wonderful piece Terry! His skin color is perfect and varied. Love the emotion, as always.
I really had fun painting his skin tones. Glad you like it, Sherry. Thanks!
To my eyes, he looks like hopeless and frustrated… It’s incredible how good you are with painting emotions :).
Would be wonderful if you got a gallery exhibit! I hope it comes true, soon ;).
Thank you, Aymara. I’m so glad when a piece speaks to you.
You have a gift for capturing people with their emotions! Fabulous as always, Terry!
