“Signpost Confidant”
A clandestine meeting and furtive glances under the signpost – two fellows enveloped in their secrets – this was an intriguing subject for me to sketch and paint. Keeping the focus on this one particular man, I realized his hand played an important part in the conversation, and the mystery. Many pigments went into his skin tones, which were so beautiful and resonant.

Fantastic, Terry!! You’re paintings capture such an emotional impact and your facial proportions are spot on!
I’m glad you like it, Joani. Thanks!
Terry what a wonderful, thoughtful pose! there’s some serious conversation going on here! love the skintones! The hand almost seems to be masking the conversation, keeping it a secret!
I’m glad that’s how it reads to you, Wyna. That was my goal, keeping it a secret. Thanks for the feedback!
