“Eight and a Half”
With an expression such as his, I found painting this young boy irresistible. He was sitting under a canopy tent, with light hitting him from the side, which presented interesting challenges to paint.

Love the innocence that you’ve captured with this one, Terry – beautiful!
Thanks, Joani!
painted with sensitive and sweetness it deserves, really nice Terry
Thank you, Lorraine. He melted my heart.
Such a sweet piece! You handled any “challenges” beautifully Terry!
Thanks so much, Sherry. A new background for me, but I think it works.
Terry this is so nice. love the skin color and the interesting colors you used around the eye area. I think the darker bg is perfect! really adds contrast which makes for a very interesting painting!
Thanks, Wyna. I originally had a much lighter background, but it wasn’t working for me. I too like the added contrast of the darker background. Always new boundaries to break!
