“Pretty Flowers”
Painting the elderly is especially delicious for me. Character and expression are etched so well into their features, and watercolor seems to lend itself beautifully to the task of portrayal. Special gratitude to my good friend Colleen Kochman for permission to paint her photo of this nona in Italy.

A nona captured so well Terry, I just love every bit but the typical apron or pinny as I call it is fabulous and helps tell the story
I liked the apron, too, and thought it definitely added not only interest but heart. Thanks, Lorraine.
This piece is certainly one of my favorites Terry. Wonderful work on this and emotion as well.
Thank you, Sherry. Sometimes a photo really speaks to you – this was one for me. I’m glad for your connection to it.
