Another inspiration from a vintage family photo, this portrait is of my great-grandmother. The original photo is sepia-toned, and I just love adding my own color to create a living work. Her composure and gaze caused me to speculate much about the dreams she held and the life ahead of her.

I particularly love this one Terry, maybe not just because it is painted in your usual expertly way but the name means a lot in my family too. I like how you have used a rose colour delicatly in her clothing, a nice touch

Another beauty, Terry! I love the way you handle their faces and their expressions. Also you paint their clothes so well infusing your own ideas from sepia or b&w photos.
