“Conversation at the Stone Pedestal”

Conversation at the Stone Pedestal

When looking for a subject to paint, I find myself drawn to the special nuances and gestures that happen in the ordinary moments of our lives. This man, leaning on a pedestal, had as much to say with his right hand as with his words. Laden with the richness of expression, he had a story to be told, and the moment beckoned me to paint it.

Another really well executed portrait Terry, but more than that. The moment in time with this man is captured so poignantly and I love your soft rendering on the shirt, the cap and the green wall that makes it pop
