Self-portrait
I always loved this photo of me taken by my husband. It was a happy and sunny day on top of a windy mountain. I enjoyed painting my “multi-colored” hair, and it was a challenge to paint the face that I probably know better than any other. Would I get it right? I wonder if it’s not by accident that in my first self-portrait I’m behind sunglasses. This painting exhibited at the Artists of Yardley 2nd Annual Juried Show, 2013.
Image size: 15 x 22 inches

So beautiful, Terry – this is my very favorite portrait that you’ve done, although they are all just wonderful!
Thanks, Joani. It was kinda scary painting me!
I love this too Terry, I dont think it would be easy to paint oneself but your skills with portraits has enabled you to do so beatutifully
Thank you, Lorraine. Hard to be objective, for sure. I’m glad it’s getting a good reception.
Love this piece Terry! Good thought on the sunglasses, as mine would be, plus a big hat and turtleneck. Now I feel like I know you even better! 🙂
Thanks so much, Sherry. Maybe next time without the shades.
Shades or no shades I love it!
Thanks, Wen!
